Camp Createability

Who We Are

Camp Createability is a training facility and full service studio for artists, visual effect artists, filmmakers, graphic designers, animators, and digital media designers with autism or other disabilities.  We transform expectations through our mission of employability, independence and inclusion.  Our training facility provides opportunities for children, teens, and adults of all abilities to gain individualized instruction and eventually job placement in the arts and entertainment industry.  Our studio provides individuals on the autism spectrum with technical, behavioral and social skills required for employment. The production studio contracts for paid industry digital media projects that provide hands-on experience and eventually employment opportunities for our artists.

Our Mission

To provide children, teens and adults with Autism or other disabilities with individualized instruction and hands-on experience in the Arts and Entertainment field.

Our History

In 2012, owner Debbie Armstrong took a gamble based on a hunch from her work with individuals with Autism and Camp Createability was formed.  She envisioned changing lives through film.  Camp Createability has since grown to include an expansive line-up of camps, workshops and virtual offerings. Students acquire vital skills that inspire their passions in the arts as they pursue a future in an area they delight in.

Our Goal

Our goal is to break the vicious stereotypes resulting in low expectations that significantly burden those in our society with disabilities.  This is truly a unique opportunity for individuals to learn socially and experientially while developing skills that will help them in the real world.  Whether in social activities or job related situations, the skills they learn will help them be more confident and successful.
