Heather MacFarlane

Heather is a visual artist and art educator.  In her art, she focuses on painting, in watercolor and acrylic.  Her current art project explores what we can learn from observing nature, and her favorite place to paint is en plein air, in the middle of a hike.  As an art teacher, she loves to encourage and empower her students’ creativity.  She recently completed a continuing education program in teaching mindfulness meditation, and in addition to teaching at Camp Createability, teaches art and mindfulness classes in the community.  She lives in Madison, and when not at work, enjoys spending time by the lakes, going to favorite cafes for coffee and donuts, singing, and tending her garden.
